Delozier to Host Shredding Event for 88th District Residents

State Rep. Sheryl M. Delozier (R-Cumberland) has announced a free spring document shredding event for residents of the 88th Legislative District. The event will take place on Thursday, March 21, from 5-7 p.m. in the parking lot of the Hampden Township Pool in Mechanicsburg.

“I am glad to be providing this opportunity again for my constituents to safely dispose of documents containing personal information, like Social Security, credit card numbers and more,” said Delozier. “Sadly, scammers utilize the information found on personal documents. By shredding what is no longer needed, we can better protect ourselves from becoming victims of scams and fraud schemes.”

Delozier emphasized the importance of the event, stating, “The shredding events I host throughout the year are always well-attended, and I look forward to seeing many friends and neighbors while providing this important service.”

Residents are reminded that there will be a limit of four boxes and/or bags per household, and the event is limited to residential customers only. Staples are permitted, but paper or binder clips should be removed beforehand.

Individuals interested in participating should contact Delozier’s district office at 717-761-4665 or RSVP online at Rep.Delozier.com/Events. RSVPing will help the shredding company plan for high capacity, as shredding will be done on-site on a first-come, first-served basis.

For more information about the event, residents can visit RepDelozier.com or Facebook.com/RepDelozier.
