Senators from both parties are set to gather in Harrisburg to celebrate the passage of Senate Bill 88, which aims to expand Pennsylvania’s law providing no-cost breast cancer diagnostic imaging for individuals at high risk. The event will take place on Tuesday, June 24, at 2:00 p.m. in the Main Capitol Rotunda.

Senator Frank Farry (R-6), along with Senate President Pro Tempore Kim Ward (R-39) and Senate Democratic Leader Jay Costa (D-43), will be joined by Senator Christine Tartaglione (D-2) and other bipartisan members of the Senate. They plan to discuss the significance of this legislative achievement during a press conference.

The bill’s approval marks an important step in enhancing healthcare accessibility for those susceptible to breast cancer within the state. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve early detection and treatment options through expanded access to necessary medical screenings.

The event will be available for live viewing online at pasenategop.com/watch/. For further information, contact Nicole McGerry at 215-990-4949 for Senator Farry or Erica Clayton Wright at 412-334-4856 for Senator Ward. Additional inquiries can be directed to Sav Thorpe Capizzi from the PA Senate Democratic Caucus.
