A grant of nearly $50,000 has been allocated to the Waynesburg Senior Community Center for improvements, as announced by Senator Camera Bartolotta. The funding will cover ceiling painting and floor replacement throughout the center. Additionally, kitchen equipment will be upgraded to enhance safety, and technology at the center will be overhauled to improve programming and attract new participants.
Blueprints, which operates the senior center, plays a crucial role in transforming lives and uplifting communities. “Blueprints, which operates the senior center, changes people’s lives, embodies the spirit of hope and improves communities,” said Bartolotta. She emphasized her commitment to securing this funding: “Advocating for this funding to help the center continue to be an important fixture in our community to help adults as they age was a no-brainer, and I am happy my support brought some lottery money to Greene County.”
The General Assembly appropriates these funds from proceeds generated by the Pennsylvania Lottery.
