Sen. Kim Ward, a Pennsylvania State Senator, posted several messages on her Twitter account on March 9, 2026, addressing topics ranging from condolences for law enforcement to recognition of women in policy and local culinary traditions.

In the morning, Sen. Ward expressed sympathy regarding the recent death of a state police officer. On March 9, 2026, she wrote: “With the tragic loss of Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Tim O’Connor, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to his family and all PSP troopers. His sacrifice will be forever remembered.

We are grateful to all law enforcement for their dedication to serve and protect.”

Later that day, Sen. Ward highlighted the achievements of women in government and policy roles. At 18:00 UTC on March 9, she stated: “From Washington to our state capitols & communities, these women work tirelessly to push progress & shatter glass ceilings.

Their leadership is inspiring & I am honored to be recognized alongside of them as one of The Hill’s Top Women Shaping Policy.”

In another post on the same day at 21:00 UTC, Sen. Ward acknowledged National Meatball Day by referencing Western Pennsylvania’s Italian restaurants. She wrote: “It’s National Meatball Day!

Western PA is home to some of the best Italian restaurants, serving up mouthwatering meatballs that’ll make your Nonna proud.

Sen. Kim Ward serves as President Pro Tempore of the Pennsylvania Senate and has been active in both legislative leadership and community engagement throughout her tenure.
