Sen. Kim Ward, Pennsylvania Senate Majority Leader, highlighted recent economic and community developments in a series of posts on her official Twitter account between November 30 and December 2, 2025.

On November 30, Sen. Ward announced the opening of several new businesses in Westmoreland County. She stated, “Great to see six new businesses opening their doors in Westmoreland County! This growth strengthens our local economy and provides more opportunities for our community. #PAJobs @TribLive https://t.co/NFt2Tcn4nS https://t.co/0JCpY18Qt3”.

Continuing her focus on state policy, Ward addressed funding increases for veterans and military affairs in Pennsylvania’s upcoming budget. On December 1, she posted, ” The 2025-26 state budget increases funding for PA Military & Veterans Affairs by 6.6%, ensuring key services are protected while being fiscally responsible. Proud to support a budget that honors service and respects taxpayers. #PASenate”.

On December 2, Ward recognized charitable efforts within the state during Giving Tuesday. She wrote, “Giving Tuesday is a great opportunity to recognize the generosity found in Pennsylvania communities. Local food banks, nonprofits and volunteer groups are essential this time of year. https://t.co/RtE36JxujB”.

Sen. Kim Ward serves as the Senate Majority Leader in Pennsylvania and has been an advocate for economic development initiatives within Westmoreland County as well as increased support for veterans across the state.
