On August 3, Sen. Ward recognized local agriculture during National Farmers Market Week, encouraging residents to support area markets. She wrote, “It’s National Farmers Market Week!

National Farmers Market Week is observed annually in the United States to promote the benefits of local agriculture and encourage consumers to purchase directly from farmers. Similarly, National Night Out is an annual event designed to foster positive relationships between residents and law enforcement agencies across the country.
