Sen. Kim Ward has served as President Pro Tempore since November 2022 and is the first woman to hold this position in Pennsylvania’s history. As leader of the state Senate, she plays a significant role in legislative priorities including budget negotiations and public health initiatives such as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
