Sen. Kim Ward, Pennsylvania Senate Majority Leader, addressed several topics in a series of posts on her social media account in early December 2025.

On December 5, Ward announced her upcoming appearance on national radio to discuss key policy issues facing the state. “I’m looking forward to joining @davidwebbshow on @SiriusXMPatriot at 9:20 a.m. We’ll be talking about Pennsylvania’s exit from RGGI, what’s ahead in 2026 and more. Tune in: https://t.co/JieLKw9p9s” (December 5, 2025).

Later that day, Ward marked International Volunteer Day by expressing gratitude for residents who serve their communities. “On International Volunteer Day, thank you to the many Pennsylvanians who give their time to help others — from local fire companies to food drives and community events.” (December 5, 2025).

The following morning, she commemorated the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor with a tribute post. “We remember the 2,403 Americans who lost their lives at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.” (December 6, 2025).

Pennsylvania’s withdrawal from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), referenced by Ward in her first post, has been a subject of ongoing debate within the state legislature regarding energy policy and environmental regulation.

International Volunteer Day is observed annually on December 5 to recognize volunteers’ contributions worldwide.

The attack on Pearl Harbor occurred on December 7, 1941 and resulted in significant loss of life; it led directly to U.S. involvement in World War II.
