Sen. Kim Ward, Pennsylvania Senate Majority Leader, posted a series of tweets highlighting local events and celebrations in Pittsburgh during March 2026.

On March 13, 2026, Sen. Ward invited the public to the St. Patrick’s Parade in Pittsburgh with a tweet that read: “Parade floats, marching bands, Irish step dancers and even Punxsutawney Phil! Who’s going to the St. Patrick’s Parade in Pittsburgh? Kicking off at 10 am, check out these St. Patick’s Day eats to enjoy during the festivities. #StPatricksDay https://t.co/4ZTd1xgAjk”.

The following day, on March 14, 2026, Sen. Ward shared information for those unable to attend in person: “Can’t make it to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade but want to join in on the fun? Tune in to the new Pittsburgh St. Patrick’s Day Parade livestream! https://t.co/5YlEzmnnjV”.

Later that day, she acknowledged Pi Day with a lighthearted post: “Why should you never talk to pi? He’ll just go on forever… Happy Pi Day, PA! https://t.co/Ib1qF511ik”.

St. Patrick’s Day parades are a longstanding tradition in many U.S. cities including Pittsburgh, drawing large crowds and featuring cultural displays such as Irish dancing and local mascots like Punxsutawney Phil. The use of livestreams has become increasingly common for community events since the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing broader access for those who cannot attend in person.
