Senator Dave McCormick has recently shared his views on several pressing issues facing Pennsylvania and the nation through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter). In his messages, McCormick addressed topics including artificial intelligence, public education, and healthcare reform.

On December 7, 2025, Senator McCormick highlighted the significance of technological advancements in a post that read: “The most important moment of our lifetimes is unfolding right now: the next Industrial Revolution, powered by AI innovation. Thank you to @LehighU and President Helble for the opportunity to discuss why Pennsylvania must lead the charge. We can’t wish AI away. We need to mitigate”. The senator’s remarks were made following an event at Lehigh University with President Joseph J. Helble.

The following day, December 8, 2025, McCormick turned his attention to public education in another post: “As a proud product of Pennsylvania’s public schools, it pains me to say: Our nation’s public education system is failing miserably. Fortunately, we have an opportunity to fix it. In my op-ed to the @PhillyInquirer, I highlight why Pennsylvania should opt in to the school choice”. Here he referenced his background as a graduate of Pennsylvania’s public schools and called for reforms centered on school choice.

Later that same day, McCormick commented on ongoing debates about healthcare policy: “The Democrats are engaged in political theatre over American’s healthcare. I was happy to talk with @MariaBartiromo on Sunday to show that we need to address the issue for working families and do the work required to reform our healthcare system.”

Senator Dave McCormick represents Pennsylvania in the U.S. Senate after winning election in 2024. His career includes prior experience as CEO of Bridgewater Associates and service as an undersecretary at the U.S. Treasury Department.

Pennsylvania has been investing in technology and workforce development initiatives aimed at positioning itself as a leader in artificial intelligence research and application across industries such as manufacturing and logistics.

Debates over public education funding and school choice remain active within both state legislatures and Congress; many states have introduced or expanded programs allowing parents greater flexibility in choosing educational options for their children.

Healthcare continues to be a major policy focus nationwide with ongoing partisan disagreement regarding access, affordability, and potential reforms designed to improve outcomes for working families.
