In his first tweet, McCormick expressed condolences regarding the death of a state trooper: “Dina and I are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Corporal Tim O’Connor, a brave Pennsylvania State Trooper who was killed in the line of duty during a routine traffic stop last night. Two radicalized young men from PA, who learned how to build bombs packed with nails and shrapnel from ISIS websites, tried to carry out what could have been the worst terror attack on” (March 9, 2026).
In another post recognizing historical figures as America approaches its semiquincentennial anniversary, McCormick highlighted Robert Morris’s contributions: “As America nears its 250th birthday, one Philadelphia merchant helped finance a revolution and secure our independence: Robert Morris, the Financier of the American Revolution.” (March 9, 2026).
