In his first post from that day, McCormick expressed concern for law enforcement personnel amid an unfolding situation. He wrote: “Dina and I are praying for our brave state troopers in Susquehanna County and monitoring the situation closely as more details emerge.” (August 7, 2025).
Later that evening, McCormick addressed reports of antisemitic attacks. In his statement, he said: “Another disgusting act of antisemitic hatred and violence. These sickening, targeted attacks against Jewish Americans must be unequivocally condemned across the political spectrum and those who commit them must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” (August 7, 2025).
