Senator Dave McCormick, a U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania, posted several statements on his Twitter account between December 13 and December 14, 2025, addressing recent tragic events and national gatherings.
On December 13, McCormick responded to an incident involving members of the U.S. military. He wrote, “Devastating news. Sending prayers to those wounded and to the families mourning this tragic loss. The men and women who serve our country represent the very best of our nation. We honor their selfless service and sacrifice.”
The following day, December 14, McCormick attended the annual Army-Navy football game alongside other dignitaries and service members. He stated, “The Black Knights may have lost today, but in this contest America is always the winner! Proud to attend the 126th Army-Navy and be with our Commander in Chief and the young men and women who are serving and protecting our country! “
Later that same day, McCormick commented on international events following reports of violence in Australia targeting Jewish communities during Hanukkah celebrations. He posted, “Dina and I are horrified by the antisemitic terrorist attack in Australia. The images of the massacre at the celebration and candle lighting on the first night of Hannukah are awful. We are thinking of our Jewish friends and neighbors who we have joined for similar Hannukah”.
Senator McCormick’s public remarks come amid ongoing concerns about global security threats as well as domestic support for military personnel. The Army-Navy football game is a longstanding tradition dating back over a century that brings together military academies in a display of sportsmanship and national pride.
