Senator Dave McCormick, who represents Pennsylvania in the U.S. Senate, recently used his social media platform to comment on several key developments, including a nomination for a federal post and international relations with Nordic and Baltic countries.

On September 4, 2025, McCormick congratulated Brian David Miller on his nomination as U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. In his post, he stated: “Congratulations to Brian David Miller on his nomination to serve as U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of PA. We had an excellent conversation and visit during the selection process, and I’m confident he will do a great job.”

Later that day, McCormick reflected on recent travels abroad. He wrote: “Just returned from Norway, Finland, Estonia & Denmark — our Nordic & Baltic allies are leading by example. They’re boosting defense, deepening ties with the U.S., and aligning against the threats from Russia, China, Iran & North Korea as strong partners for global security.” This message highlights growing cooperation between the United States and its European allies in response to evolving global security challenges.

In a subsequent tweet posted at nearly the same time, McCormick promoted an op-ed he authored for National Review Online: “Read my op-ed in the @NRO https://t.co/YSYaToGtHu”

Brian David Miller’s nomination comes amid ongoing attention to appointments within Pennsylvania’s federal legal system.

Senator McCormick has emphasized strengthening alliances with Nordic and Baltic nations—an approach that aligns with recent increases in military cooperation between these countries and NATO partners amid concerns about regional security threats posed by Russia and other adversaries.
