Senator Dave McCormick, an active voice on social issues and policy, recently addressed a range of topics through his social media presence. His posts highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by communities in Pennsylvania, personal milestones, and controversial political stances.
On June 7, 2025, Senator McCormick emphasized the dual approach needed to combat the fentanyl crisis affecting Philadelphia and other parts of Pennsylvania. He stated, “While we must stop the flow of fentanyl that is ravaging communities in Philadelphia and across the state, we must also tackle the addiction crisis and help recovering addicts find dignity and self sufficiency.” He shared that he joined Mayor Jim Kenney at Riverview Wellness Village to witness efforts being made towards this goal.
Later on June 7, 2025, Senator McCormick took a moment to celebrate a personal occasion by wishing his parents a happy anniversary. He expressed his joy with “62 years and counting! Happy Anniversary to my amazing parents!” marking their long-lasting marriage.
On June 8, 2025, Senator McCormick turned his attention to political issues surrounding sanctuary cities. He criticized these jurisdictions for their handling of immigration enforcement, stating “Democrat-run sanctuary cities have outright ignored and refused to enforce the law for years. Just days ago, one mayor compared ICE agents to neo-Nazis.” He further commented on recent violence against border patrol agents stemming from such rhetoric.
