Senator Dave McCormick, a U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania, posted several messages on November 15, 2025, reflecting on veterans and the importance of honoring their service.
In a post made early in the day, McCormick referenced the legacy of Valley Forge, stating: “Valley Forge reminds us that the freedom secured in the Revolutionary War is something we must continue to protect and honor today.” (November 15, 2025).
Later that afternoon, McCormick described his experience at a local event: “Had an incredible time in Reading at the Berks County Annual Veterans Day Celebration. Honored to speak to a room of more than 800 Pennsylvanians, including veterans, their families, and community leaders. With over 700,000 PA vets, we owe them our gratitude and all the support” (November 15, 2025).
That evening, he offered congratulations to a community leader: “Huge congrats to Doug Graybill on receiving the Patriot Award at yesterday’s Berk’s County Veterans luncheon. His selfless military service has proven him to be a leader not only through his many deployments, but in the Reading community as founder of Veterans Making a” (November 15, 2025).
Pennsylvania is home to one of the largest veteran populations in the United States. The annual Berks County Veterans Day Celebration is a longstanding event that recognizes veterans’ contributions across generations.
