On June 14, 2025, Senator McCormick commemorated the 250th anniversary of the United States Army. He expressed pride in his past service with the 82nd Airborne Division and as a Gulf War combat veteran. “Happy 250th anniversary to the @USArmy! What an incredible milestone. My time in the 82nd Airborne and as a combat veteran in the Gulf War shaped who I am today. Proud to celebrate this outstanding legacy of service!” he stated.
Later that day, McCormick addressed the issue of political violence in America. He emphasized that such acts contradict foundational national principles and called for their condemnation and prosecution without bias towards political affiliation. He also extended thoughts to those affected by these acts. “Political violence has no place in America. It is a violation of the very principles this country was founded on… Please join me and Dina in praying for the Hortman family,” he wrote.
The following day, June 15, McCormick shared a personal message celebrating Father’s Day by honoring his father as one of his greatest role models. “Happy Father’s Day to my incredible dad, one of my greatest role models. So thankful for your support and everything you’ve taught me.”
