Bucks County Community College employee Matthew Seibert donates $230 to Bernard Sanders' campaign

Matthew Seibert, an employee at Bucks County Community College, donated $230 to Democratic Party candidate Bernard Sanders, according to the Federal Election Commission.

According to records, there have been $3,814 in campaign contributions made by individuals affiliated with Bucks County Community College as of November 3. Approximately 94.8 percent, or $3,614, of these contributions were made to Democratic Party candidates and committees.

Elizabeth Moriarty's contribution of $2,998 to Democratic Party Bernard Sanders was the largest contribution made by someone affiliated with Bucks County Community College since January 1, 2019.

According to an Inside Higher Ed analysis of federal elections data, individuals that were affiliated with colleges and universities have donated five times more money to Joe Biden than to President Trump. A study by Pew Research in 2017 found that 58 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents thought colleges and universities have a negative impact on the way things are going in this country.
