Philip Mallory Jones’ virtual reality work-in-progress, Time Machine: Bronzeville Between the World Wars, captures the ambience, historical detail, lore and legends of Chicago’s South Side during the Great Migration, the Great Depression, Jim Crow segregation and the Chicago Renaissance. His presentation will illuminate the trajectory of work, spanning 12+ years and multiple modes and media, and the evolution and transformation of ideas and vision which lead to Time Machine: Bronzeville Between the World Wars.
