State Rep. Sheryl M. Delozier | Pennsylvania 88th Legislative District
The House Republican Policy Committee will convene a hearing to discuss the state of public schools in Cumberland County. The event, part of a series titled “Back to School,” aims to highlight educational initiatives and fiscal responsibility within the county's public school system.
House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Joshua D. Kail (R-Beaver/Washington) and Rep. Sheryl Delozier (R-Cumberland) will lead the hearing alongside other lawmakers. The session is scheduled for Wednesday, August 7, at 10 a.m., at the Mechanicsburg Area School District Administrative Building, located at 600 S. Norway St., 2nd Floor, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
The hearing will feature testimonies from several education professionals and officials including Dr. Mark Leidy, executive director of the Pennsylvania Association of Intermediate Units; Dr. Andrew Bitz, superintendent of Mechanicsburg Area School District; Danielle Eisner, science teacher at Cedar Cliff High School; and Mike Gossert, member of the Cumberland Valley School Board and president of the Pennsylvania School Board Association.
