FOIA Request to PA State Employees Retirement System Regarding Pension Rosters on September 20, 2024.
As a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Dauphin News have sent a request for records under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law. We are seeking information about the pension fund of the PA State Employees Retirement System for the year of 2023.
The data fields requested include the last name, first name, middle name, date of birth, employer name, employment start date, employment end date, salary, compensation type, amount, year, process date, last disbursement amount, disbursement frequency and 2023 contribution amount for all active and retired employees in the organization's pension fund.
Access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information as a media organization, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver.
