State Representative Sheryl Delozier is organizing a document shredding event for residents of the 88th Legislative District. The event will take place on Thursday, April 20, from 5-7 p.m. at the Hampden Township Pool parking lot in Mechanicsburg.
“Tax season is underway, making now a great time to safely dispose of paperwork containing private and personal information that could be used by fraudsters looking to obtain passwords, Social Security numbers and other sensitive information,” said Delozier. “I am once again glad to be providing this important service, and I am looking forward to seeing many friends and neighbors at the shredding event.”
Participants are limited to four boxes or bags per household, with the event open only to residential customers. It is requested that paper or binder clips be removed before attending; however, staples are allowed.
Those interested in participating should contact Delozier’s district office at 717-761-4665 or RSVP online at RepDelozier.com/Events. RSVPing helps provide a headcount for the shredding company to plan accordingly. Shredding services will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
