Senator Camera Bartolotta is calling on Pennsylvania students and individuals seeking career training in high-demand fields to apply for the Grow PA Scholarship Grant Program. This initiative, administered by the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), offers grants of up to $5,000 annually for students pursuing degrees or certifications in occupations that are in demand.

To be eligible, applicants must commit to living and working in Pennsylvania after graduation. The grant requires recipients to remain in the state for 12 months per year of received funding. Failure to comply will result in the grant being converted into a repayable loan.

The program supports studies in areas such as agriculture, computer science, business, education, special education, STEM education, engineering, nursing, allied health, criminal justice, among others approved by PHEAA. "These courses of study lead to family sustaining careers in industries with significant job openings," Bartolotta noted. "Pennsylvania students will be graduating with less debt and more motivation to stay in our state."

Applications for the 2025-26 academic year are now open at pheaa.org/growpa. Grants will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

Additionally, there is an option for out-of-state students through the Grow PA Tuition Waiver Program. This allows eligible non-resident PASSHE students to pay tuition at an in-state rate if they pursue high-demand occupations and meet residency requirements post-graduation.
