88 percent of applicants to Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Harrisburg were admitted for fall 2018

At Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Harrisburg, 87 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Middletown enrolled 4,933 students in fall 2018, including 4,191 in undergraduate and 742 in graduate programs, data shows. 8.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

55 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 16 percent are residents of other states. 29 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (54 percent) and Asian (11 percent).

The school admitted 88 percent of the 4,588 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 25 percent enrolled.
