Sen. Camera Bartolotta (R-46), in partnership with Pennsylvania Women Work, is hosting Career Kick-Start on Tuesday, May 21, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Frank Sarris Public Library, 35 N. Jefferson Ave., Canonsburg.

The event aims to help individuals enhance their job search strategies and achieve their career aspirations. Bartolotta expressed, “The free, one-day workshop is a great way to get on the right path to boosting your job search and achieving your career goals.” She added, “Connecting people with careers they enjoy and that support their families will encourage people to put their roots down in Pennsylvania, so I am proud to partner with PA Women Work to host this event.”

Participants will engage in various activities throughout the day, including learning to identify professional skills and strengths, improving resume writing and interview skills, as well as networking opportunities and free professional headshots. In the afternoon, attendees will have the chance to meet individually with a career coach, refine their resumes, take a career assessment, and practice interviewing. Employers will also be present to interact with job seekers about available opportunities.

To secure a spot at the event, interested women are encouraged to register online at pawomenwork.org/career-kick-start.html. For inquiries, individuals can contact Katrina Hanna at 412-742-4362.

Space is limited, so early registration is advised for those looking to jumpstart their careers and job search strategies.
