Graduates earn 250 degrees, certificates from Pennsylvania State University-College of Medicine

About 82.8 percent of the 250 degrees and certificates handed out by Pennsylvania State University-College of Medicine in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Hershey conferred 144 doctor's degrees and 49 master's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a doctor's degree in medicine. Data shows the school gave out 144 doctor's degrees in medicine, followed by 28 master's degrees in physician assistant and 19 master's degrees in general public health.

The university enrolled 943 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in 943 programs.
