Central Penn College Women’s Basketball Team Wins Penn State-Scranton Tip-off Tournament

Central Penn College’s Lady Knights basketball team captured the championship at the Penn State Scranton Tip-Off Tournament this past weekend. On Friday, November 11, the Lady Knights defeated USCAA DI Bryant & Stratton Albany, with a final score of 77-72 to earn a spot in the championship game.

Facing a tough Five Towns College team, the women pulled out a strong win to take home the trophy, upsetting Five Towns with a final score of 63-54.

Central Penn College stand-out Tahniyaah Jackson was named the tournament MVP, and Alayza Mayo was selected to the All-Tournament team!

The Lady Knights also won their game at East Pennsboro High School Monday night, topping the College of Southern Maryland by a score of 61 to 53.
