WAYNESBURG – Sen. Camera Bartolotta (R-46) and Rep. Elizabeth Fiedler (D-184) will highlight Solar for Schools, a new grant program aimed at reducing costs for taxpayers, on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 1:30 p.m. at the Greene County Career and Technology Center, 60 Zimmerman Drive, Waynesburg.

Bartolotta and Fiedler will be joined by Brian Jackson, West Greene superintendent. There will also be a bipartisan coalition of officials, school administrators, and labor leaders.

Onsite solar is expected to lower operating costs currently passed to taxpayers and create family-sustaining jobs. School districts will soon be able to apply for grants through the Department of Community and Economic Development.
