FYI: Changes in Law Regarding Registration for Dauphin County’s Upcoming Upset Tax Sale

Dauphin County issued the following announcement on Aug. 25.

Pre-registration opens soon for the Dauphin County Upset Tax Sale, and there are changes in the law regarding registration requirements.

The sale is Sept. 23 6 p.m. at Harrisburg Hilton Hotel, 1 N. 2nd Street, Harrisburg.

Pre-registration is Aug. 30 to Sept. 13, from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.

Registrants must do so in person at the Dauphin County Tax Claim Bureau at 2 S. Second Street, Harrisburg.

Registration fee is $100 (cash or check).

There will be no exceptions – registration must happen in person within the outlined timeframe.

Per the Real Estate Tax Sale Law, municipalities have the right to review bidders and deny any bids.
