State Senator Camera Bartolotta | Pennsylvania
Sen. Camera Bartolotta announced today that state grants totaling $868,534 have been awarded to the 46th District to improve roads and bridges. The grants were provided by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA).
"Maintaining important infrastructure is a core function of government. With this funding, residents will be able to safely travel and enjoy area shops and restaurants because of streetlight replacements and streetscape improvements," Bartolotta said. "These improvements will benefit residents and help to attract additional businesses to the communities."
The CFA, an independent agency of the Department of Community and Economic Development, administers many of Pennsylvania’s economic development and community improvement programs. Projects funded through the CFA’s Multimodal Transportation Fund program aim to encourage economic development and ensure a safe and reliable transportation system for Pennsylvania residents.
The grants will be used for transportation development, rehabilitation, and enhancement projects, including work to improve streetscapes, lighting, sidewalks, pedestrian safety, transportation system connections, and transit-oriented development.
