Veterans and active-duty military personnel from the 88th Legislative District are invited to join Rep. Sheryl M. Delozier (R-Cumberland) for breakfast on Thursday, May 30, to honor their military service. The theme of this year's breakfast is "Veterans' Families."

The event will commence at 8 a.m., with doors opening at 7:30 a.m., at First Church of God Community Center, located at 201 E. Green St. in Mechanicsburg.

“It’s truly an honor to host this event to pay tribute to veterans and active-duty military personnel in the district,” said Delozier. “This year, we’re calling special attention to veterans’ families. When a soldier, sailor, airman or marine serves, so does their family by keeping their home life running smoothly while the service member is defending our liberties. They too deserve our recognition and thanks for that important work."

"As always, I am looking forward to seeing many familiar faces at this event and seeing our local servicemen and women enjoy a time of fellowship together as we thank them for their service.”

Alyssa H. Holstay, Esq., founder of Selfless Service, a community support and assistance organization for military families, law enforcement and first responders active in Cumberland County, will be the guest speaker for this year's event.

Attendees will also hear from Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity, a retired U.S. Army Reserve Colonel who works diligently to return unclaimed property to Pennsylvanians. This includes over $4.5 billion in cash and priceless military medals. Since taking office in 2021, Treasurer Garrity has returned more than 410 military decorations to the veterans who earned them or their families - including 10 Purple Hearts and three Bronze Stars.

Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP at RepDelozier.com/events or call 717-761-4665.
