State Senator Camera Bartolotta | Pennsylvania
Sen. Camera Bartolotta (R-46) will host a free Identity Theft Prevention Event on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Fort Cherry High School Gymnasium parking lot, located at 110 Fort Cherry Road, McDonald. The event is designed to help residents combat identity theft and will be conducted as a drive-through for individuals only, not businesses.
An industrial shredder truck will be available onsite, allowing attendees to dispose of up to two bags or boxes of documents per vehicle. Information on identity theft prevention will also be provided.
“This is a great opportunity to shred documents with personal information much faster than is possible with a home shredder. The industrial shredder is also better at protecting the information than some home models – don’t take the chance with data that someone could use to steal your identity,” Bartolotta stated.
Items such as phonebooks, newspapers, and bound books cannot be accepted at the event. Attendees are requested to remove any binder or paper clips from their documents before arrival.
No registration is required for participation; however, residents with questions can contact the district office at 724-225-4380.
