State grant funding exceeding $1.8 million has been allocated to four community development projects in Pennsylvania's 88th District, as announced by Representative Sheryl Delozier. The funds are distributed under the Local Share Account (LSA) grant program, which is supported by state gaming revenue.

Delozier expressed her satisfaction with the grants, stating, "Local Share Account (LSA) grants support a variety of needs in our communities. This grant program provides significant savings to the municipalities in receipt of the dollars and allows for community building improvements and other revitalization efforts."

She added, "I am pleased to see that money reinvested locally, and I am grateful the following projects have received funding. These grant awards will have a positive impact on our communities for generations to come. I am glad to have advocated for the funding."

The awarded grants include $102,123 for New Cumberland Borough for planning and designing the West Shore Theatre Annex; $48,250 also for New Cumberland Borough to develop a Recreation, Park and Trail Network Plan; $985,000 for Hampden Township to rehabilitate Hampden Pool; and $676,365 for Mechanicsburg Borough to transform Center Square into a multi-purpose community space.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority approved these grants today. The CFA is an independent agency responsible for overseeing programs and investments aimed at fostering economic growth in Pennsylvania.
