HARRISBURG – Sen. Camera Bartolotta (R-46) and key members of the Pennsylvania film industry are advocating for an increase in the state's film tax credit program. The call is for an increase to $300 million in the film tax credit program to further support and promote the state's film and industry productions.

Sen. Bartolotta emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, "Preserving Pennsylvania’s long history of film and industry productions will help further expand jobs and provide much-needed protections to those working in the commonwealth."

The push for an increase in the film tax credit program is aimed at not only preserving Pennsylvania's rich history of film production but also at creating more job opportunities within the industry and enhancing protections for workers in the state.

The advocacy for this increase will be officially announced on Monday, May 6, at 1 p.m. in the Main Rotunda of the Capitol Complex in Harrisburg. Those involved in the call for the increase include the Pennsylvania Film Industry Association, the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, and the Pittsburgh Film Office.

For more information on this initiative, interested individuals can contact Katrina Hanna at 717-787-1463.
