The House Republican Policy Committee, led by Chairman Joshua D. Kail (R-Beaver/Washington), will hold a hearing to discuss the recent PJM capacity auction and its implications for Pennsylvania's energy future. The event, titled "Fighting to Keep the Lights On in PA," aims to address concerns about potential blackouts by 2030.
Kail will be joined by other committee members and Jason Stanek, executive director of government services at PJM, who will testify during the session. The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 9 a.m., in Room 418 of the House Republican Caucus Room at the State Capitol in Harrisburg.
According to Kail, "the most recent PJM capacity auction" is a significant topic that needs thorough discussion to ensure that Pennsylvania can avoid energy shortages in the coming years.
