State Representative Sheryl M. Delozier is organizing a free document shredding event for residents of the 88th Legislative District. The event is scheduled for Thursday, March 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. It will take place in the parking lot of the Hampden Township Pool located at 5001 Hampden Park Drive in Mechanicsburg.

Delozier emphasized the importance of such events, stating, "Every year, I offer a shredding event in the spring and fall for residents of the 88th District to safely dispose of personal documents." She added that this service helps protect private information while providing an opportunity for spring cleaning.

She expressed her anticipation by saying, "My shredding events are always well-attended, and I am looking forward to seeing friends and neighbors there!"

The event will have a restriction of four boxes or bags per household and is exclusively available for residential customers. Participants are advised to remove any paper or binder clips before attending; however, staples do not need to be removed.

Residents planning to attend should contact Delozier’s district office at 717-761-4665 or RSVP online. RSVPs assist in estimating attendance so that the shredding company can prepare adequately. The on-site shredding will operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
