A bill proposing significant tax cuts in Pennsylvania was approved by the Senate with a 36-14 vote. The bill, Senate Bill 269, seeks to reduce the Personal Income Tax (PIT) rate from 3.07% to 2.8% and eliminate the Gross Receipts Tax on energy starting from Jan. 1, 2025.
